Middle and long-distance runner Melissa Courtney-Bryant knows how it feels to stand on a Commonwealth Games podium. She won bronze in the 1500m at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Other plaudits include winning three medals in the 3000m at the European Indoors – silver in 2025, and bronze in 2019 and 2023.

But in 2021, a foot injury meant she was unable to compete at the Tokyo Olympics or the 2021 European Indoor Championships.

This will be her third Commonwealth Games. She is married to decathlete Ashley Bryant.
