Track and Field Rater Goes Live

UK Athletics (UKA) has launched a Track & Field Rater (TFR) to provide users of athletics facilities with a ‘one stop shop’ for rating track and field facilities and equipment.

TFR - a simple, anonymous online feedback form - presents an opportunity to submit real time feedback in between formal TrackMark inspections which take place every three years.

UKA will use the TFR information submitted by users to support and inform discussions with venue operators about the quality of provision, whether this is recognising good practice or identifying areas for improvement or investment.

If a safety concern(s) is reported as part of a facility user’s feedback, the venue team will be informed and, where necessary, seek resolution.

The reality is that we must all work together with venue operators to both maintain and improve the quality of track and field facilities across the country,

While TrackMark accreditation ensures that facilities meet minimum standards and are safe and fit for purpose, user data from the TFR will give us more consistent feedback and contribute to on-going monitoring of performance, quality, and safety standards.

Grassroots users of track and field facilities are in a unique position to give us real life feedback, for example what they love about a venue, what could be improved, and what safety concerns - if any - that they might have. We’re obviously interested in the views of athletes, but we’re equally interested in the views of coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators. The more data we have, the better the picture we have of UK facilities.

The link will also be shared directly with affiliated clubs, member athletes and licensed coaches and officials, while QR codes will be available within facilities to access the TFR directly and provide real time feedback.
