Club updates for Safeguarding as directed by UKA - April 2023

There has been some great work completed since the independent review of Athletics in 2020. Particularly with our Club Welfare officers, the majority have completed the necessary training in Time to listen.
The UKA Safeguarding team have advised that the codes of conduct have been updated in March 2023 in respect of coaches, technical officials, and athletes – senior and children.
Please update your website accordingly to ensure your club is fully compliant. The below links have all necessary safeguarding requirements which are listed on the Welsh Athletics Safeguarding web page. Please remove any older material from your web pages.
The above link also provides the information on who to contact should there be a child or Adult safeguarding concern.
Time to listen courses 2023
There are course available this May and June, please ensure that if you have a new Club welfare officer, or if your Club welfare officer has not completed the course that they book on as this is a required part of affiliation.
