Rabat Diamond Leauge

Jake Heyward (Cardiff) placed 2nd in a fast 1,500m race. Running a seasons best of 3:33.54, he was less than a second outside his personal best set in the Olympics last year.

In the Women's 1,500m, Melissa Courtney Bryant (Poole) ran clocked 4:04.40 to place 10th in a race won in 3:57.30.

Ostrava Golden Spike - World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze

Melissa Courtney Bryant (Poole) continued to show her rapid return to form, running a time of 4:04.13 in the 1500m, securing a world standard as she heads towards the British Championships later this month.

Jonathan Hopkins (Swansea) placed 13th and ran a time of 8:42.75 in the 3,000m Steeplechase.


 

Irena Szewinska Memorial - World Athletics Continental Tour Gold

Jeremiah Azu (Cardiff) produced another seasons best over 100m, this time running 10.18s and placing 2nd in his race.


 

BoXX United Manchester - World Athletics Continental Tour Silver

In Manchester, Beth Kidger (Phoenix) ran a new personal best over the 5,000m distance, clocking a time of 15:49.67 to place 11th in a competitive race. Whilst in the men’s 5,000m Osian Perrin (Menai) stopped the clock in 13:54.03, which was a World U20 qualifying standard!

NAL Premiership, Thames Valley

The second round of the NAL was hosted by Thames Valley Harriers. There were some strong performances all round, with highlights including

  • Emily Thomas (Swansea) 2ND - Women’s Long Jump (5.88m)
  • Rebecca Chapman (Cardiff) 3RD - Women’s Long Jump (5.80m)
  • Caryl Granville (Swansea) 2ND - Women’s 400mh (60.22s)
  • Caryl Granville (Swansea) 2ND - Women’s 100mh (14.64s)
  • Carys Jones (Swansea) 2ND - Women’s Pole Vault (3.81m)
  • Morgan James (Cardiff) 1ST - Men’s 1500m (3:57.36)
  • Lauren Cooper (Cardiff) 2ND - Women’s 2000m Steeplechase (7:11.73)

BMC PB Classic, Milton Keynes

Dafydd Jones (Carmarthen) ran a new personal best of 8:20.77 in the 3,000m to finish in 4th place. In the girls 3,000m, Moli Lyons (Cardiff) finished 7th in 10:21.73.


 

BMC PB Classic, Street

Jacob Reynolds (Cardiff) won the boys 800m in 1:58.36. Libby Hale (Swansea) placed 2nd in the girls 1,500m running a time of 4:39.96, whilst Bethan Hardman (Cardiff) finished in 4:50.11 for 11th. Lloyd Sheppard Brown (Cardiff) set a seasons best in the boys 3,000m, running a time of 8:37.37, whilst Akex Jackson (Cardiff) also set a seasons best of 8:50.86.
