England Athletics Indoor Combined Events Championships - Sheffield - Saturday & Sunday 5th & 6th January
Ben Gregory (Birchfield Harriers) finished 3rd at the England Athletics Indoor Combined Events Championships in Sheffield over the weekend, which also incorporated the Welsh Championships. Gregory won the Welsh title with a total of 5,422 points, and finished 3rd overall after lying 11th at the end of Day 1.
Cardiff's Harry Hillman was 16th overall, but finished 7th u23 and second Welsh athlete behind Gregory with a total of 4,627 points. Meanwhile, Lauren Evans (Cardiff AAC) was 8th in the u20 Women's competition and best Welsh finisher with 3,421 points, with Emilie Davies (Blaenau Gwent) second Welsh finisher with 3,145 points.
North Wales Cross Country Championships - Corwen - Saturday 5th January
Ricky Challinor (Liverpool Harriers) and Amie Bagnall (Prestatyn RC) took victory at the North Wales Regional Cross Country Championships in Corwen on Saturday afternoon.

Sale Harriers Open Meeting - Sportcity - Sunday 6th January
Cardiff's Josh Brown clocked a new indoor 60m lifetime best as he clocked 6.83 at the Sale Harriers Open Meeting. Brown's Cardiff teammate Makoye Kampengele also performed strongly, running 6.98 seconds in the Men's 60m, with Menai's Zach Price running an indoor 60m best of 7.09 seconds.

BMC Grand Prix - Sheffield - Sunday 6th January
Brighton Phoenix athlete Beth Kidger finished 4th in the Women's 1,500m at the BMC Grand Prix in Sheffield, clocking 4:27 in her indoor season opener.
