Snowdon Marathon
After a three year hiatus, the Snowdon Marathon returned over the weekend. Starting from Llanberis, the unique and spectacular route, which encircles Snowdon, Wales’ and Englands’ highest peak, attracts hundreds of runners.
This years event was won by Daniel Kashi and Caroline Brock, who covered the 26.2 mile distance, with an average climb rate of 32 metres per mile, in 2:39:51 and 3:13:43 respectively.
Next across the line was Rhodri Owen and Clare Patterson in times of 2:40:44 and 3:19:09.
Making up the podium were Michael Taylor and Llinos Jones who covered the race in 2:41:00 and 3:21:49.

Podium 5k
Sophie Harris (Herne Hill Harriers) won the Women’s race in a time of 16:30 on the fast lapped course in Barrowford.
