Welsh Cross Country Championships - Pembrey Country Park - Saturday 23rd February
Dewi Griffiths (Swansea; Kevin Evans) and Jenny Nesbitt(Worcester; Chris Jones) took the Senior titles at the Welsh Cross Country Championships in Pembrey on Saturday afternoon.

Loughborough Winter Throws Open - Sunday 24th February
A number of Wales' top thowers tested their winter form at the Loughborough Winter Throws Open on Sunday afternoon. Commonwealth Games representative Osian Jones (Liverpool; Carys Parry) threw 69.71m in the Men's Hammer Throw, with Jac Palmer(Cardiff; Adrian Palmer) throwing 66.93m.
James Tomlinson (Pembrokehsire; Paul Jensen) recorded a distance of 53.13m in his debut with the 2k weight Discus, whilst Bethan Rees(Cannock & Stafford) threw 48.76m in the Women's Javelin Throw. In the Men's Javelin Throw, Tom Hewson (Andover; Mark Bradford) threw 65.54m, whilst Nathan James (Swansea; John Davies) threw 61.86m.
England Athletics u15 / u17 / u20 Championships - Sheffield - 23rd & 24th February
Jeremiah Azu (Cardiff; Helen James) stormed to an impressive double victory at the England Athletics Championships (formerly known as the AAA's Championships) over the weekend. The Cardiff man took gold in the u20 Men's 60m on Saturday with a time of 6.73 seconds, and recorded a lifetime best of 21.25 to win the 200m on Sunday to cap off another excellent weekend's work.
Cardiff's Emmanuella Kone (Helen James) took an equally impressive victory in the u17 Women's 60m Final, storming to a gold medal winning performance in a lifetime best of 7.67 seconds. In the u17 Men's 800m, Ben Reynolds (Cardiff; Arwyn Davies) ran a lifetime best of 1:55:69 to take home the gold medal.
Remi Adebiyi (Newport; Darryn McAtee) utilised another strong sprint finish as he took an impressive victory in the u20 Men's 1500m with a winning time of 3:58:67, and Swansea athlete William Trott (Jane Hosgood) secured another lifetime best of 3.70m on his way to victory in the u15 Boys' Pole Vault.
Sarah Omoregie (Cardiff; Gareth Lease) was second in the u20 Women's Shot Put with 14.54m, and Nick Young (Sale; Neil Donbavand) took bronze in the u20 Men's Shot Put with 16.60m.
Ella Wintle (Pembrokeshire) took bronze in the u15 Women's 300m with a new lifetime best performance of 41.03 seconds, whilst Oliver Watkins (Cardiff Archers) jumped to a new lifetime best of 1.89m to take bronze in the u17 Men's High Jump.

Rhyl 10 Mile Race - Saturday 23rd February
Martin Green (North Wales Road Runners) and Sarah Louise Cumber (Halifax Harriers) took victory at the Rhyl 10 Mile Race on Saturday.
