Swansea Bay 10K, 17 September
The rain poured on Sunday as the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k returned for its 42nd race.
All top three finishers in the men’s race finished under the 30-minute mark. Kadar Omar (Birchfield Harriers) took victory in the men’s race finishing in 29:44, followed by Dylan Evans (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers) in second with 29:49 and Dewi Griffiths (Swansea Harriers) in third with 29:53.
In the women’s race, Calli Thackery (Hallamshire Harriers) claimed first with a time of 32:19. Jenny Nesbitt (Pontypridd Roadents) was the second home finishing in 33:41 and Caryl Edwards (Swansea Harriers) completed the top three with a time of 34:52.
The Admiral Swansea Bay 10K also incorporated the fifth and final race of the Welsh 10K Road Race Series.

Eugene Diamond League, 16 September
In the final Diamond League of the series, Melissa Courtney-Bryant (Poole AC) was in action in the 1500m, finishing in the top 10 and under the four-minute mark with 3:59.57.
