England Championships
It was a fine weekend for athletics in sunny Bedford with a range of great performances!
Hannah Brier [Matt Elias] was crowned England 200m champion after a stellar performance. In heat 1 of the 200m, Brier clocked a huge sb of 23.66 and went on to the final to win in 23.62. This was Hannah's fastest time in 5 years with it being just 0.03 seconds off of her lifetime best she set back in 2015 of 23.59.
In the 400m, in her 4th race since stepping up to the 400m Amy Oduniya [Dave Norton] clocked a huge new lifetime best of 54.16 to finish 4th in the final which puts her top of the Welsh rankings for 2021.
In the Long Jump, Rebecca Chapman [Gareth Hopkins] came 3rd with another strong jump of 6.28 which is only 1cm off of her season-best of 6.29

It was a great event at the Nick Beer 10k where there were over 400 competitors who took on the race.
