Second Round of the Modernisation & Development Grant (2023-24) Now Open

We are delighted to announce the launch of the second round of the Modernisation and Development Grant (for 2023-2024) is now open for applications. The Modernisation & Development Grant will give our clubs and associations a boost to support activities that will increase engagement as well as develop both a thriving infrastructure & workforce. Over the years we have been proud to support applications that are leading the way via innovative projects that focus on modernising and developing clubs across Wales.
We welcome applications from our affiliated clubs (up to £2000), Regional Athletics Councils, and Schools Districts (up to £1000). Applications that are aligned to the wider strategy for the sport and have a focus around increasing engagement and growth of the club, are encouraged and will be held with higher priority.

If you have previously received funding through this grant you will need to complete and return a ‘Project Completion Report’ (if not already completed) prior to applying for funding in this round. Download the report form here.
Completed Project Completion Forms should be emailed to chris.moss@welshathletics.org
The deadline for applications is midday on Friday 2 February 2024. Completed applications should be emailed to office@welshathletics.org with the subject line ‘Modernisation Grant 2023-24’. The Grants Panel will consider and decide on all applications after the closing date and applicants will be notified thereafter.
