Online Level 1 Starter/Starter Assistant (WASA20.1)
Successful completion of the Level 1 Award for Starter/Starter Assistant Judge will enable individuals to work with other qualified officials as part of a team, assisting organising start of races communicating with athletes on the start line at athletics events.

Online Level 1 Race Walking Official course
Successful completion of the Level 1 Award for Race Walk Official will enable individuals to work with other qualified officials, acting as a lead official and supporting assistant officials, whilst judging at athletics events.
What will I learn?
· Understand the difference between walking and running
· Know the rules of race walking
· Know what the judges’ paddles mean
· Begin to gain confidence in picking out infringements
· Understand the procedures for issuing cautions and red cards and recording these
· Understand the purpose and importance of the posting board and when/how the chief judge will disqualify a competitor
· Understand what makes a good Race Walking Judge
