New Club Competition Series Proposal (U20, Seniors, Masters)

On Wednesday 30th September 6:30pm - 8pm, we are hosting an initial proposal meeting that aims to gather interested parties to further discuss a pilot series of track and field events.
This proposal meeting will outline a pilot club-led open track and field event series for Summer 2027 aimed at U20, Senior and Masters athletes. The model is designed to create a relaxed and accessible competition environment that sits below the intensity and formality of higher-profile meetings such as BMC or Run With The Wind-style events, while still maintaining appropriate standards of safety, licensing, organisation and athlete experience.
Welsh Athletics would support clubs to deliver localised Level 1-style events, using the OpenTrack platform, existing club volunteer networks and, where possible, access to Welsh Athletics competition equipment.
This initial proposal meeting aims to gather interested parties to further discuss the proposal and gather interest in hosting or supporting pilot events.
