Event Preview: World Mountain Running Association's World U18 Cup

Saturday 24th August sees the 14th running of the World Mountain Running Association Under/18 World Cup in Susa, Italy. Wales will compete against teams from the Home Countries, along with Italy, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Turkey, Hungary & the USA.
Over the past thirteen years, Wales have had a few female athletes making the podium with Elinor Kirk (Susa, Italy - 2006) and Ffion Price (Sauze d’Oulx, Italy - 2010) both winning while Georgia Garner (Gap, France - 2013) came third.
This year’s Welsh team sees a mix of experienced junior mountain runners who have already achieved some success alongside three athletes who will be making their Welsh debut.
