Commonwealth Games 2022: Introducing the Heptathlon

This years 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham kick off in less than a week! Welsh Athletics are proud to introduce Lauren Evans who will be making her way to Birmingham later this week to represent Team Wales and compete in Heptathlon.

Lauren Evans is due to celebrate her 22nd birthday in Birmingham after receiving an invite from the Commonwealth Games Federation to compete in the heptathlon event this summer.
Lauren competing at the 2022 English Championships.
Evans from Cardiff – who turns 22 on 7 August – represented Wales at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the 100m hurdles.
She started in heptathlon after trying every event and loving them all: “I find it boring doing just one or two events.”
Lauren will compete in the Heptathlon on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd August
