BUCS Cross Country Championships 2022-23 Preview

The 2023 BUCS Cross Country Championships will take place at Pembrey Country Park on Saturday, with a number of Welsh athletes taking part. The prestigious event will host the top University Athletes from across the United Kingdom for the first time in Wales since 2012.

After making his Great Britain & Northern Ireland team debut in the European Cross Country Championships in December 2022, James Heneghan (Pontypridd Roadents) will be representing Cardiff University. Also competing for Cardiff University are current Inter-Regional Cross Country Champions Ciaran Lewis (Les Croupiers RC) and Lauren Cooper (Parc Bryn Bach Runners).

Lloyd Shepperd-Brown (Cardiff Athletics) will be representing Cardiff Met University. Whilst first year students Moli Lyons (Cardiff Athletics) will be representing Leeds University and Adam Barber (Harborough AC)  of Leeds Beckett University will be making their BUCS debuts.

Mike Ward (Cardiff Athletics) and Larry Ryan (Cardiff Athletics) will be in action for Birmingham University. Ward was fifth at the event 12 months ago helping his team to victory.
