Athletix – The Fun Introduction To Run, Jump, Throw
Athletix is a new recreational athletics programme launching in Wales from spring 2026! It will introduce children to the sport of athletics in a relaxed environment, from sports halls to grass pitches, from tracks to fields!
After a successful launch of our brand new grassroots initiative Athletix we interviewed Welsh Athletics CEO, James Williams to explain all you need to know about the new programme.

What is Athletix?
- Athletix is the new fun introduction to run, jump and throw aimed at 4-12 year olds!
- The sessions are designed with creativity and movement in mind – we want children moving from start to finish with a smile on their face, feeling that they belong in our sport!
