Level 1 Photo Finish (WAPF19.1) - Newport

Successful completion of the Level 1 Photo Finish course will enable individuals to work with other qualified officials, acting as a lead official and supporting assistant officials, whilst judging at athletics events. The course will be held before the Welsh Athletics League Fixture 1. Giving people the option to stay and complete 1 experience for their logbook.
Duration: 2 hours
The Level 1 Photo finish course will outline the different tasks within the photo finish team, the role of an operator and the use of the equipment. The course is mainly of a practical/involvement level to suit new Officials in this discipline (knowledge of Word or Excel is beneficial). For more details on the Level 1 Courses please click here.

What else do you need once you have booked on your course?
To complete your license, you'll need to have a valid DBS check cleared with UK Athletics. You can check your DBS status and complete the process by logging into the UKA Members portal, following the instructions below:
- Click the link for the "myATHLETICS portal"
- Insert your username (URN)
- Once you have logged in you will see your personal details section. At the bottom of the first section shows the current status of your DBS.
- Click on the appropriate link to update your DBS. Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Upload a passport style photograph.
When UK Athletics have received an electronic copy of your DBS certificate and your photograph has been uploaded, your licence will be produced and sent out.
