This is a perfect opportunity for those new to officiating as the day will involve practical officiating experience in a open meeting. This day is open to parents, guardians, grandparents, volunteers, students and anyone interested in learning more about officiating.

 Arrival time: Photo finish set up 9-9:30am / Start team set up 9:30-10am

Lunch packs will be provided to all volunteers that volunteer for half a day.

Taster / Refesher Sessions: 

Photo Finish set up / shadowing

This will be suitable for new and existing officials learning about setting up the system and operating the system. 

Starters Assistant / Starter

The Starting team are very experienced and can lead anyone who expresses an interest to join the team. Volunteers/Trainees will shadow on the different aspects of preparing athletes to compete in the various middle distance and sprint events as a Starters Assistant. An electronic starting device will be used by the team, volunteers/trainees will also have the opportunity to use the starting device and experience from the starters perspective when starting a race.

Trainees will have the opportunity to support these disciplines at other meetings RunWithTheWind evening events in Cardiff
