RACE DESCRIPTION

The Aberystwyth Charity 10k is a fast, flat race following roads and paths around the town that takes runners along the promenade, through the harbour, and around the Rheidol river's edge to finish back on the promenade. All proceeds of the race go to charity raising around £6,000 a year for local charities, with significantly larger amounts being raised by runners collecting sponsorship for their own charities.

ADDITIONAL INFO

• Dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
• There will be manned First Aid stations at the start/finish and at the halfway (5k) point, as well as an ambulance. In the event of accident or illness during the race, inform a race marshal (or ask another runner to do so) and they will call for assistance.
• There will be a tail runner who can also summon a vehicle if a runner is unable to continue.
