Role: England Athletics Event Lead for Javelin & Head Throws Coach at Loughborough University

 

Biography: David is the Lead Throws Coach at Loughborough University and specialises in the Javelin Throw.  David leads the throws recruitment, development and competition programme at Loughborough and has coached for Great Britain at Major Championships and International Meetings.  David is also currently the England Athletics Event Lead for the Javelin Throw, supporting coaches and athletes on the Youth and Junior Talent programmes and lead author for the event’s technical framework used on the Youth Talent Programme.

 

Coaching Highlight: Coaching Welsh Paralympic Champion, Hollie Arnold, to Gold and a World Record in the final round of the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast 2018.

 

Webinar Aim & Audience: To provide a technical overview of the javelin throw to club and development stage coaches working with athletes aged 13-18.
