The Blade Runner 2026

The Blade Runner is a 7-mile multi-terrain race that starts and finishes at wind turbines on the Oakdale plateau and uses the lanes to loop the village of Manmoel.   

Selected as the second race in East Wales Road Race Championships!

Join us for one of our iconic runs, taking in the scenic and enjoyable route.  

All participants must be over the age of 16 on race day. Entry fees are £12.00 for UK Athletics registered runners and £14.00 for non-affiliated runners. There is a small booking fee.  

Welsh Athletics Race Licence applied for under UKA Rules.  

 All finishers will receive a commemorative race buff.  

 The race awards ceremony will be held at the finish line after race has finished

Prizes for: 

  • First 3 Male and 3 Female 

  • First Male Vet 40+, 50+, 60+

  • First Female Vet  35+, 45+, 55+

  • First Male and Female Team (3 to score) 

Race HQ will be outside Braces Bakery, where the start line is situated.  Entries will be available on the day. 

Ample parking available.  

Entries close on 20th June! There are just 200 places available so don't miss out!  Race day information will be emailed out to all participants before the race.  

Race numbers can be collected from the registration desk on race day.   

All running abilities are welcome, however the course is undulating and unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. We will ask you for a predicted race time on registration, this is to help us plan locations and timing of our volunteers.  

Once entered there are no cancellations or deferrals. If you wish to transfer your place to another runner you can do so via your Entry Central login before 20th June 2026.
