Cardiff Athletics stalwart, Owen Edwards who was team manager of the Cardiff AAC team that took the British League title for three successive years in the early 1970s has sadly died today, 6th April at the age of 80. He also undertook a number of roles within the Welsh AAA - one of the predecessors of Welsh Athletics - including organiser of the first indoor athletics meetings and Welsh championships held on he old stone gymnasium at RAF St Athan.
Our thoughts are with Owen's family and friends at this sad time.

Tuesday 2 May 14.00 Wenallt Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff and afterwards at the Manor Parc, Thornhill Road.
