Amber Simpson Selected for GB & NI Team for the Throwing Cup in Cyprus

Today, UK Athletics have announced Amber Simpson (Wrexham, Jay Lambert/Gareth Simpson) has been selected to represent the GB&NI team at the European Throwing Cup in Cyprus on the 15-16 March 2025.
Amber will be making her senior international debut in the hammer, a big step in her athletics career.
On hearing the news, Simpson shared:
I am so happy to receive my first selection to represent GB.
It has been a goal of mine for years so to finally achieve is a big stepping stone for me and my career.
I am excited to get out there and compete with some top athletes!
