Lucy is a Registered Dietician (RD) with a specialist interest in Sport's Performance Nutrition. She is also a Welsh International athlete in Cross Country and Road Running.

 

Session Aims:

•Define endurance running

•Gain a basic understanding of endurance metabolism

•Why is it important to consider endurance nutrition?

•Explore differences in preparation for training versus an endurance event (Marathon as the example)

•Staying fuelled and hydrated throughout an endurance event (Marathon as the example)

•Discuss recovery and refuelling post event
