This years Welsh Road Championships will be held within the following events:

• Half Marathon - Sunday 27th March : Cardiff University Cardiff Half Marathon

• 5km - Sunday 1st May : Cardiff 5k Race for Victory

• 10km - Sunday 15th May : The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10km

• Marathon - Sunday 2nd October : TCS London Marathon

As a registered Welsh affiliated athlete you have the opportunity to compete in a number of different distances throughout 2022 as a part of the Welsh Road Championships.

The first event of the 2022 series will be held within the Cardiff Half Marathon, one of Wales’ most premier road running races and we are delighted to announce that a limited number of spaces have been reserved in the sold-out race for Welsh athletes wishing to take part in the Welsh Half Marathon Championships which are incorporated.

These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for just £32. Welsh Athletics members will need to input their club name and UKA number to verify the discount.

This years Welsh 5km championships will be held within the Cardiff 5k Race for Victory. The event takes place in Whitchurch and is widely regarded as one of the best 5K Races in the United Kingdom and incorporates an Inter Area Match.

The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10km returns this year after a 2 year absence. Set in the shadows of Caerphilly Castle, Wales’s largest castle, the Caerphilly 10km starts and finishes on Crescent Road.

Rounding out the distances included in the Welsh Road Championships is the Welsh Marathon Championships. Held within the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October 2022, the Welsh Marathon Championships will be a senior only event. The ballot entry is now closed for the TCS London Marathon.
