Welsh 5K Road Championship – Update

Welsh Athletics is happy to confirm that the Welsh 5k Road Championships will be incorporated in the Caerphilly 5k.
A new event was required following the postponement of the Cardiff 5k – Race For Victory until 2027 earlier this year, and we are delighted that the newly created event in Caerphilly will take on the Championship for 2026.
The race will take place on the 9 August 2026, with an evening start – the picturesque course will see participants complete multiple laps of the historic Caerphilly castle. Information on entries will be found here – with an elite race being available for athletes under 25min for 5k.
