Cardiff Taff Trail Half Marathon, 19 March
On Sunday the scenic Cardiff Taff Trail Half Marathon took place, with a number of runners claiming new personal bests.
Matt Edwards (Cardiff AAC) was the first across the finish line, completing the course in 1:13:14.
Angharad Mair (Les Croupiers) was the first female runner over the finish line with a time of 1:25:28.
University of Birmingham Winter Throws, 18 March
Transition programme athlete Storm Evans (Carmarthen & District Harriers) got her season underway at the University of Birmingham Winter Throws on Saturday, throwing a distance of 42.47m in the fifth round.
Friday Night Under the Lights, 17 March
There was plenty of Welsh representation at the Friday Night Under the Lights in Battersea.
In the men’s race Oliver Barbaresi (Thames Valley Harriers) was the first Welshman across the finish line with a time of 14:32, whilst Callum Campion (Llanelli AAC) set a new club record finishing in 15:46.
Whilst Alex Jackson (Cardiff AAC) finished in a time of 14:37, with Lloyd Sheppard Brown (Cardiff AAC) finishing in 14:44.
In the women’s race Emily Lowery (Vale Royal) completed the race in a time of 16:58.
