Away from the Welsh Junior Championships, where multiple Championship Best Performances were recorded, it has been a quiet week of competition, but highlights include.

BMC Gold Standard, Watford

Rhiannon Linington-Payne (Cardiff) ran another personal best in the Women’s 800m, recording a time of 2:05.78 to finish in 2nd.


Cardiff Throws Meet, Aberdare

There were personal bests for the likes of Eurion John (Cardiff) who won the Men’s Discus 1.5k throw, recording a distance of 38.65m and Jack O’Keefe (Cardiff) who won the Men’s 1.25k Discus with a throw of 26.79m.

Ava John (Cardiff) also threw a personal best in the Women’s 0.75k Discus throw, with a best of 21.91m, whilst in the Hammer 3k throw, Caitlin Seaborne (Rhymney) threw 42.71m to take victory with a new personal best.

BMC, Loughborough

In the Men’s 1,500m A race, Frank Morgan (Carmarthen) placed 5th with a time of 3:52.88, whilst in the B race, Tristan Cumberland (Brecon) set a new personal best of 4:08.73.

Scottish Athletics National Senior and Under 17 Championships, Aberdeen


2016 Olympian Seren Bundy Davies took a convincing victory in the Women’s 400m at the Scottish Athletics National Senior and Under 17 Championships. Running a time of 55.07s, she finished over 1 second ahead of second place.
