Transgender Inclusion Report welcomed

During 2020 the Sports Councils Equality Group (SCEG) commissioned a Review into Transgender Inclusion in Domestic Sport in the UK. Subsequently a wide-ranging consultation took place with many people in sport and the broader community both within the UK and internationally. They have now published a carefully considered report and set of guidance in this complex environment.
‘Welsh Athletics welcomes this report and the guidance issued by the Sports Councils. We will now take time to digest all the published information and look forward to working with colleagues across the UK athletics community and the Sport sector in Wales, to see how the outcomes of this report can be applied fairly in the sport in Wales.’
