New Club Funding Grant to create links with schools
Welsh Athletics have a new grant clubs can apply for: Schools to Clubs Grassroots coaching links. Clubs can apply for grants of up to £500 for initiatives to forge links and create pathways for school pupils into their local clubs. Clubs may choose to host one off or a series of sessions targeting a specific age group, or specific event(s) or specific schools where there exit routes into the club. Grants are for coaching sessions and their associated costs such as facility hire, rather than for competition or equipment costs.
Applications must fully complete all details below and be submitted with any associated costs and outline the exit route to clubs prior to delivery for approval by Welsh Athletics.
The project must be completed by no later than 31 July 2027.
Grant Applications must be submitted no later than 31 July 2026.
(A maximum of eight clubs will be awarded grants).
