Rabbit Run inc Welsh Trail Running Championships (Short) Preview

On Saturday the Rabbit Run incorporating the Welsh Trail Running Championships (Short) will take place. The 7.5-mile Trail Race will start and finish in front of the Merthyr Mawr House.
The race will get underway at 16:00, which will see 600 athletes compete.
The 2022 edition saw Nicky Collin (Lliswerry Runners) claim the Welsh senior women’s title in a time of 58:13, whilst Jacob Tasker (Ogmore Phoenix Runners) finished in 53:15 to take the senior men’s title.
Tasker will be in action at this year’s edition looking to retain his title, the Ogmore Phoenix Runner also took victory in the Red Kite Challenge earlier this year. Second-place finisher at last year’s edition Oliver Bartlett (Sale Harriers Manchester) will be in action again and will be hoping to go one better this year.
In the team event, it was Lliswerry Runners that secured the women’s team win, whilst CDF runners took victory in the men’s team event.
