Final Novuna GB & NI Team for World Athletics Championships Confirmed

UK Athletics has confirmed today the Novuna Great Britain and Northern Ireland (GB & NI) team selection for the World Athletics Championships, Tokyo, Japan (13-21 September) following the finalisation of the World Rankings positions.
A team of 64 athletes will now travel to the Championships, with 12 athletes achieving the required Road to Tokyo World Rankings Position. Amongst the team selected 4 Welsh athletes have been confirmed.
The Welsh athletes selected for the Novuna Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan on 13-21 September 2025:
Women
5000m - Melissa Courtney-Bryant (Rob Denmark, Poole)
Heptathlon - Abigail Pawlett (Ashley Bryant, Trafford)
Women’s 4×400 - Hannah Brier (Rhys Williams, Swansea)
Men
100m - Jeremiah Azu (Helen James, Cardiff)
Men’s 4x100 - Jeremiah Azu (Helen James, Cardiff)
The mixed relay event will comprise a combination of the athletes named in the squad.
