Across the Nation, our coaches are the driving force behind participation in sport and physical activity in local communities. Therefore, it seems apt that the theme for this year’s UK wide Coaching Week (3 – 9 June) is showcasing just how much of a role our coaches play in building healthier, happier communities giving us a great platform to celebrate our coaches, coincided with launching our Coaches Newsletter: - We Coach Wales - sign up here

The Coaching Week gives recognition to all the people and venues where sport and physical activity can take place. After all, it doesn’t matter if you are a coach, activator, facilitator, instructor, leader, teacher or trainer. Whatever the label, the end result is always the same – by providing great coaching, you are inspiring others and making a difference.

"In our Running and Athletics Community whether on the track, in the park, on the road, trail or mountain, coaches create the environments that help us to develop a sense of belonging and give us the opportunities to grow our social and physical skills no matter of age, or ability."

Zoe Brown, Coach Development Coordinator
