The 112th Welsh Cross Country Championships will take place at Singleton Park in Swansea on Saturday 27th February and will incorporate the Welsh Masters Cross Country Championships. An entirely new course will be created at a venue which has a great history of hosting Wales’ flagship Cross Country event.

The event is for club runners of all abilities... From beginners to International Athletes.

Stronger Inter-Club Competition is expected at the Championships, partly through the inclusion of the Masters Competitions in 2016. Early entries are an indicator that the Championships are set for their greatest entry in over a decade.

It is hoped that the event can grow over the coming years and to return in some ways to the large numbers enjoyed at the Welsh Championships from ‘years gone by’.

The Welsh Cross Country ‘Participation Cup’ will be awarded at the Welsh Cross Country Championships. The award will be made to the club providing the most finishers in the Senior / Masters races (men & women combined).

The masters races will take place within the senior events. Master 65+ men will compete in the senior women’s race.

Categories will be as follows;

M35, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70, M75, M80
MW35, MW40, MW45, MW50, MW55, MW60, MW65, MW70, MW75, MW80
