Athletes' Blogs: Rhys Knapman Olympic Stadium debut

International Sprinter Rhys Knapman brings us a new update on his 2012 season after he was one of the athletes at the Olympic Stadium test event.

Last time we spoke I told you I’d get back at you regarding Loughborough, and if you’ve been following my tweets you’d know as an opener it wasn’t the best!

On to BUCS, what an experience! Those of you with tickets for the Games are in for a right treat. Let’s hope the weather treats us in late July! As for performances, the weekend highlights were opening up my 200m season in the new British home of athletics and being part of a UWIC 4x100 club record-breaking team (see the race HERE).

Some things went well and some things not so well, but importantly I took a lot from East London.

Training has been progressing well, and right now we’re getting into some very quick stuff. Some would question then why I’ve decided to test my lactic tolerance by running the full lap this coming weekend. Exciting… so exciting there’s a wager on Twitter that you all should get involved!

Take Care.
