The latest athlete to join our blogging ranks is International 400m hurdler Paul Bennett, giving us an insight on his pre-Welsh Championships work.
Hey guys, first time blogging for Welsh Athletics so bear with me!
It's been a busy week and it will be busy too in the next week and a half as we lead up to the Welsh Championships! I competed at the Loughborough International on Sunday: competition didn’t go as planned but not all do!
I got back to training yesterday and had a light speed session. PB over 150 so everything’s looking good! Had gym session today again, very light weights ahead of competing on Sunday in Derby with Swansea Harriers in the BAL match 1.
I am looking to do 400m Hurdles and 200m as well as one of the relays and I need to sort my stride pattern out over the sticks! It is amazing how the Welsh Champs are coming around so quick this year. I should be hitting new heights by that time I hope! (As does every athlete competing!)
I'll get back to you guys later in the week to update on how things are going! If you want to follow me on Twitter - it's @paul400mhurdler
