John Pares (Buckley Runners) confirmed his dominance in ultra running by taking victory at the Basel 24 hour race in Switzerland on the 15th of May.
John started the race as the current commonwealth champion after taking that title in Llandudno last September.

John’s experience and superior fitness saw him catch the early leaders who went on to pay for their over ambitious pace by fading badly. Pares went on to lap the entire field several times, covering 235km and adding a title here to his commonwealth crown.
