Brecon AC’s 3-4-5-mile road running series is due to kick off next Tuesday (1st May) at Llanfrynach and the club are pleased to announce that due to additional sponsorship the prize list will be better than ever.
As well as the ongoing very generous sponsorship of Ralph Jones at Brecon MoT Centre, Likeys Ltd, a local company specialising in ‘Outdoor Gear for Adventurous Minds’ have come in with a substantial injection of vouchers to be used for the extensive prize list. This is a very positive development for which the club is obviously very thankful.
Coupled with this good news, Brecon Ford have also doubled last year’s contribution to include a free MoT and a free valet, while David James Estate Agents have also sponsored some of the prize list – although as David says ‘it will alleviate any feelings of guilt if I don’t run’. Local Physio Catrin Hawthorn has donated a number of subsidised treatments and there are several other smaller prizes including donations by Giglio’s and Llanfaes Dairy.
The junior 1 ½ race is at 6.45pm and the main race at 7.15pm with entries taken from 6pm at Llanfrynach Village Hall. The 4 mile race is on 15th May and the 5 mile race, which is part of the East Wales championship series, is on 29th May.
