Loughborough International – Sunday 20th May
Wales will send a mixed team of experienced and younger athletes to compete at the Loughborough International on Sunday, including two of those who competed on the Gold Coast in Rebecca Chapman and Osian Jones. There will be first senior Wales vests for Kiara Frizelle, Bethany Moule, Laura Turley, Alicia Samuel and Matt Harding.
In addition, six welsh athletes will represent the British Junior squad competing at meet; Sarah Omoregie (Shot Put), James Tomlinson (Discus), Bethan Rees (Javelin), Nicholas Young (Shot Put), Lauren Williams (400m Hurdles and 4 x 400m relay) and Joe Brier (4 x 400m relay) will all be a part of British Athletics' Junior team competing this weekend.

European 10,000m Cup – Parliament Hill, London – Saturday 19th May
Welsh duo Charlotte Arter (Cardiff AAC) and Jenny Nesbitt (Worcester AC) will represent British Athletics’ six-woman squad for the European 10,000m Cup at Parliament Hill on Saturday evening. Nesbitt will return to 10,000m action on the track after running a personal best of 32:58 on the Gold Coast last month, whilst Arter will enter the race on the back of her recent 5k road personal best of 15:40 at the Cardiff 5k a fortnight ago.
The race will be streamed live via the BBC Sport website on Saturday evening.
Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival – Builth Wells – Saturday 19th May
Incorporated into the Royal Welsh Spring Festival, the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival will take place at the Builth Wells showground on Saturday. The event offers 10K and Half Marathon trail courses that start and finish in the Royal Welsh Showground and take in the valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry in the surrounding area. In addition, the event offers a 3K Trail Race, Family Mile and Toddler Trail meaning there’s something for all ages and abilities!

Ras Y Gader – Cader Idris Race inc. WFRA Welsh Championships – Dolgellau – Saturday 19th May
The annual Cader Idris Race will take place on Saturday in the market town of Dolgellau, incorporating the WFRA Welsh Championships and North Wales Championships (Medium). The senior race sees runners tackle the 3,000-foot summit to Pen y Gader, whilst junior races will also see athletes challenged as they climb the steep inclines surrounding the Cader Idris mountain.

Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k – Sunday 20th May
The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k returns this weekend as approximately 2,500 runners take to the roads of Caerphilly seeking fast times on the relatively undulating 10k course. The course will lead participants in and around the town centre, passing iconic landmarks including the giant cheese sculpture and Tommy Cooper statue along the way and offering great views of the medieval castle, which dominates as the stunning backdrop to the event.

Snowdonia Half Marathon – Llanrwst – Sunday 20th May
Sunday marks the 7th running of the annual Snowdonia Half Marathon in Llanrwst, as runners tackle the challenging, hilly course that played host to the World Trail Running Championships back in 2013.

Welsh Athletics League Fixture 2 – Neath – Sunday 20th May
The second Welsh Athletics League fixture of the season takes place in Neath on Sunday as Swansea Harriers again look to claim victory but will be sure to be closely challenged by Cardiff AAC and Brecon AC once more.

Maldwyn Harriers Open Meeting – Newtown – Sunday 20th May
Maldwyn Harriers will be hosting an open meeting comprising of age group (Under 9’s through to Seniors) 100m, 800m, 3,000m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put and Javelin events on Sunday afternoon, starting from 12p.m.
