An update on the Welsh Athletics Endurance Championships due to be held over the coming months;
Welsh Cross Country Championships
Entries for the Welsh Cross Country Championships close at 4.30pm on Thursday 16th February.
The event takes place on Saturday 25th February in Singleton Park, Swansea. The 2016 race saw a considerable increase on recent numbers and 2017 is expected to attract the largest entry that the championships have seen in many years.
Athletes are reminded that the Championships are for club runners of all abilities. In 2016 Liswerry Runners won the ‘mass participation Cup’ within the event, which is awarded to the club providing the most finishers in the senior / masters races.

Welsh Marathon Championships
The Welsh Marathon Championships take place within the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April 2017. Entries for the race have now closed.
Welsh Championship results will appear on the Welsh Athletics website as soon as possible after race day.
Welsh 5km Road Race Championships
The 2017 Welsh 5km Championships take place within the Cardiff 5k – Race for Victory in Whitchurch on Sunday 30th April.
The race uses entirely closed roads around the Whitchurch and Llandaff areas of the City. Live Music, Streetfood and entrertainments all add to the event experience.

Welsh Trail Running Championships / Welsh Inter-Regional Championships
The 2017 Welsh Trail Running Championships will take place over the half marathon distance, within the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival on Sunday 21st May.
