4 Personal Bests For Welsh Team In Marrakech

Despite Tracey Morris falling and injuring her knee and ribs on an early morning training run the day before the race, the Welsh team had some excellent performances in the Marrakech ½ marathon.

On a flat fast course, and in perfect conditions Wales came home with four personal bests and an promising debut ½ marathon from Matt Janes.

Richie Gardiner, currently running 110 mile a week in preparation for the London Marathon, which is the Welsh Championships again this year, led the team home but it was Ian Williams who recorded a personal best.   Tracey did not make the start line but all the other women ran faster than they had done before which is good preparation as all are running the London Marathon, including Tracey if she can recover from her injuries in time.
