The 2008 Welsh Cross Country Championships is at Singleton Park, Swansea, on Sunday, February 24th and the closing date of February 15th
is not too far away.
Entry forms are available from the 'downloads' section of the website. It is the same entry form for clubs and individuals so if you are entering yourself, simply print off the form, complete and return to the office with the entry fee and an SAE.
Apart from medals for the first three individuals in each age group and the first three teams of 4 (6 for senior men) there is the prospect of selection to Welsh International teams for some of the older athletes. Both Welsh Athletics and Welsh Schools will be taking teams of up to 8 Male and Female from school years 12,13,14 to 'The Presidents Cup' in Dublin on Wednesday 19th March 2008. Meanwhile, there is the chance to compete at an even higher level for a small team of 3 U20's and 3 seniors of both genders as Wales will be taking part in the revived home international to be held in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, the day before the World Cross Country Championships take place at the same venue. This is the weekend of 29th & 30th March 2008.
