Welsh Stars selected for Euro Championships!

Brett Morse and Elaine O'Neill will be Wales' representatives at the forthcoming U23 European Championships, scheduled for 16th-19th July in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Morse, fresh from his success at the Welsh Championships, will go for Gold in the Discus throw, while Elaine O'Neill will be competing in the 100m event.

There is joy for Wales also in the U20 selections: Simon Lawson, Dewi Griffiths and David Guest have been selected for the U20 European Championships that will be held in Novi Sad, Serbia, between the 23rd and 26th of July. Lawson and Griffiths will compete in the 10,000m, while Guest will take part in the Decathlon.

The three Welsh athletes were included by UKA in the first wave of selections, including athletes who are currently ranked among the top three in Europe - a great acknowledgement for the trio, who will be surely boosted by these news.
