Sally
Ireland, wife of Frank Ireland, died quietly at Bernash Residential Home, Bristol last Saturday, July
18th.
In
her role as organiser of refreshments, Sally was a very familiar figure at
fixtures held at Jenner
Park - both those hosted
by Barry & Vale Harriers and local schools’ events - from the early 70’s
for over twenty years.
Frank
and Sally lived at Jenner Road
in Barry until 2005 when they moved to Bernash Residential Home in Bristol to be closer to
their son Andrew, his wife, Cathryn, and grandsons Matthew and Luke. By then Sally was already suffering from Alzheimer's
Disease.
She
is mourned by husband Frank, son Andrew, sister Kitty, the wider family and
friends.
Sally's
funeral will be taking place at South Bristol Crematorium on Tuesday 28th July
at 3:30pm.Family floral tributes only. Donations in memory of Sally can be made to
