Greene and Williams bring Wales to Berlin

The pride of Wales will rest on the shoulders of Dai Greene and Rhys Williams as the hurdlers pair is selected for the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team that will take part at the World Championships in Berlin.

The Swansea and Cardiff athletes have been selected after finishing one-two at the Aviva Trials and UK Championships held in Birmingham earlier this month, the latest achievement in a season that saw them setting some of the fastest times in the world in the 400m hurdles.

"There are things to work on if I'm going to be a contender in Berlin" said Greene, "but I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do in Germany and reaching the final is a realistic target."

The World Championships will start in two weeks - welshathletics.org will bring you all the latest news about the Dai Greene and Rhys Williams' bid for glory in Berlin.
