It is with great regret that Welsh Athletics reports the death of Ann Hill following a period of ill health.
Ann was one of the most dedicated and committed coaches and gave her life to guiding and developing athletes in Wales. She was highly regarded and respected by both her peers and her athletes, and was one of the most successful coaches ever to have operated in Wales.
During her career she produced numerous British and Welsh champions as well as a host of international athletes such as; Carol Bradford, Susan and Angela Tooby, Kim Lock, Amanda Pritchard and the late Mickey Morris.
She played a prominent role in BMC, making a significant contribution to the success of this specialist group.
Ann lived for athletics and gave so much to the sport at all levels. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service will take place at Richmond Road Baptist Church, Cwmbran, Gwent on Friday 28th December at 10.00am followed by burial at Panteg Cemetery, Pontypool.
The wake to celebrate Ann's life will then take place at Cwmbran Athletics Stadium following all proceedings.
