Celtic Games - Antrim


Last weekend saw the 31st Celtic Games, held at the Antrim Forum track, Antrim Northern Ireland. Wales had a very good weekend with a total of 15 athletes achieving new pb's, also to add to the pb's two Welsh athletes came away with new Celtic Games records, Simon Lawson (Cardiff AAC) broke Robert Corbelly of Athletics Ireland's record of 9:10.05 set last year at Waterford knocking an amazing 23 seconds of in very blustery conditions not helping and of the middle distance races, also Adam Williams (Menai T&F) broke the Triple Jump record of Steven Watson of Ulster's 13.28m also set last year at Waterford with 13.96m, this now raises Wales' tally of records held with 23 events out of a possible 62 for the meeting. Well done to all athletes who competed over the weekend. Results (download below)
