In the Senior men's race, Dewi Griffths took to the start line despite a pre-race niggle, but choose to pull out during the race, leaving the stage set for a new winner to be crowned. It was James Hunt (Cardiff AAC) who took his opportunity, holding off a resurgent Phil Matthews (Swansea Harriers), and third placed Dan Nash (Cardiff AAC).
