Kerron Clement (400m hurdles) the current Olympic silver medallist and gold medallist in the 4x400m relay, has confirmed his attendance at the Welsh Athletics International (July 18th, Cardiff).
Clement is also a twice world 400m hurdles champion (2007 & 2009). He is set to compete at this summer’s Olympic Games after qualifying for the USA Olympic team in Eugene at the weekend. His best for 400m hurdles stands at 47.24s, with Clement still the World record holder for the indoor 400m.
Clement is just the latest in a string of high-profile names confirmed to take part at the Cardiff showpiece event, set to take place at the Cardiff International Sport Stadium.
Yesterday, Botswana's Nijel Amos, the second fastest man in the world over 800m in 2012 - only Kenya's David Rudisha set better times in the run-up to the Olympic Games - confirmed his participation in the Cardiff event.
