The Cardiff 10k takes place on Sunday in Cardiff's City Centre. The event now in it's 26th year will take advantage of the predicted great weather, and a good field which has become customary in Cardiff.
The fastest time in the UK for 2011 was set in Cardiff by winner Milton Rotich of Kenya. His team mate Alice Mogire won the ladies race, setting a Welsh all-comers record for the distance.
Previous winners of this event include the current marathon world record holder, Patrick Makau.

The race starts on edward 7th Avenue in the Civic Centre and takes athletes through the City Centre and into Bute Park before passing the City's imposing Castle and finishing where it started, along side Cardiff's City Hall.
Organisers would like to encourage spectators to come and share the occasion.
The 2km fun run starts at 9:15am with the main race due to start at 10:00 am.
